Piet Mondrian
Piet Mondrian became interested in are as a young child. His father, headmaster of a local school and enthusiastic amateur artist, gave Mondrian drawing lessons, and Fritz Mondriaan, Mondrian's uncle, who was a successful artist taught Mondrian to paint. Piet Mondrian also studied at the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam for three years. Some of Mondrian's styles and movements he was part of include abstract, traditional, Luminism, Impressionism, Cubism, Neo-Plasticism, and he was one of the founders of the Dutch modern movement De Stijl or "The Style".
